Mercedes-Benz Announces Changes to its Model Line-Up

Standard equipment levels have been enhanced in more than 70 percent of the entire Mercedes Benz passenger car range.

Customers will now benefit from an extensive array of additional features that enrich the already impressive standard equipment levels in the German car maker's range, along with the inclusion of new optional extras and option packaging.

The new standard equipment enhancements to numerous models in the Mercedes range include safety, luxury and sports-oriented features, all designed to enhance the pleasure of Mercedes-Benz ownership, and all the direct result of customer feedback.

Expressing sentiments first shared at the recent national media release of the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class, managing director for the Mercedes Car Group in Australia, Horst von Sanden, explained the reasons for the extensive revisions:

"We have spent a lot of time listening to our customers about what they need and want in their new Mercedes-Benz and these changes are commensurate with their feedback.

"These model revisions have been in development for some time. The all-new C-Class was the first car in our range to benefit from this new approach to our product strategy and I'm excited to be able to announce these product revisions."

The Mercedes Car Group team in Australia have undertaken an extensive study of specific product- and customer-related data. For example, investigations included focussing on which optional features are most popular with customers in each model, leading to new option packages, adding even more value to various models.

Even market share leaders such as the new-generation E-Class and range-topping S-Class have received enhanced levels of standard equipment.

"As I have previously stated, leadership is not solely about numbers. Mercedes-Benz' goal is to be able to offer the best possible products and services to customers in order to exceed their expectations and today's announcement is another step in achieving this," concluded von Sanden.

Customers are advised to contact their nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz passenger car dealer for availability details of models featuring these upgrades.
